HCL Tech Joins Tasman Council to Enhance Digital Experience for NZ Residents

HCL Technologies Ltd announced a partnership with New Zealand’s Tasman District Council to upgrade digital experiences for council employees and the region’s 58,000 residents.

HCL Tech will implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 to establish an advanced digital platform, aimed at enhancing interactions and services for the district. The new digital system will leverage generative AI (GenAI) and automation, streamlining processes for tasks such as service requests and application submissions to boost efficiency.

HCL Tech has been active in New Zealand since 1999, offering services in digital, engineering, and cloud technologies across various industries. This collaboration will enable residents of Tasman district to connect with the council anytime, using their preferred digital channels.

Tasman District Council CEO Leonie Rae expressed confidence in HCL Tech’s ability to lead digital transformation efforts within New Zealand’s local government sector. Sonia Eland, HCLTech’s Executive VP and Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand, highlighted that the council required a scalable, adaptable digital platform, and HCL Tech is well-equipped to support their digital goals.
