Telecom and technology company HFCL Ltd on Sunday said it has received new orders of ₹76 crore in an exchange filing dated Sunday, May 18, 2025. The cumulative order value comprises two distinct orders — an export order and a domestic order.
The domestic order will have to be performed by next month, and a deadline of June 2025 is now set there. The export as well as domestic orders is for the supply of different types of optical fibre cables and will enhance HFCL’s presence in telecom infrastructure space.
These new orders signal robust demand for HFCL’s optical fibre offerings both overseas and in India. The company’s increasing order book underscores its increasing role in constructing high-speed broadband infrastructure and improving digital connectivity.
Earlier this year, in January 2025, HFCL had bagged a significant advance work order worth ₹2,501 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). The BSNL project entails the deployment of a middle-mile network for a required period with a three-year service level agreement for ongoing maintenance and services.
The BharatNet Phase-III project is aimed at ensuring broadband availability in rural areas in the Punjab telecom circle area in sync with India’s vision of providing Digital Bharat. HFCL is gradually strengthening its dominance in the fibre optics and telecom infrastructure industry with a strong portfolio of domestic and overseas projects. These are expected to be value-accretive to HFCL’s financials and on forward operational expansion.
