Hyundai Motor India reported a 10% year-on-year decline in total sales for September 2024, with sales dropping to 64,201 units from 71,641 units in September 2023, the company announced on Tuesday.
Domestic vehicle dispatches to dealers fell by 6%, reaching 51,101 units last month, compared to 54,241 units in the same period last year. Exports also saw a significant drop of 25%, with 13,100 units exported in September 2024, down from 17,400 units a year ago.
Despite the decline, Hyundai’s Chief Operating Officer, Tarun Garg, highlighted that SUVs now contribute to 70% of the company’s overall sales. He noted that with the festive season underway, Hyundai has launched several new models and variants to cater to customer aspirations. The company’s dealerships are fully prepared to ensure timely deliveries of Hyundai vehicles during this auspicious period.
