JSW Group appointed Rajiv Mehta as the Chief of Business for its mobility division, JSW Auto, on September 24.
Mehta will operate from the company’s Mumbai headquarters and will directly report to Parth Jindal, while also collaborating closely with JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal. His appointment comes as JSW Auto prepares for significant growth, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) sector.
Parth Jindal stated that Mehta’s three decades of expertise in the automotive industry will help JSW realize its vision of building sustainable, innovative EVs for the Indian market.
Before joining JSW Auto, Mehta served as the Chief of Business Strategy, Transformation & Analytics for the automotive division at Mahindra & Mahindra.
JSW Group, a $24 billion diversified conglomerate, is a major player in steel, energy, cement, infrastructure, paints, and venture capital. The company is now venturing into the electric mobility business, with Mehta playing a key role in driving this new phase of expansion.
