JSW Infrastructure Ltd announced on October 8, 2024, that Arun Maheshwari will step down from his role as Joint Managing Director and CEO, effective November 7, 2024.
Maheshwari will continue to serve on the company’s board as a Non-Executive Director and transition to a new role within the JSW Group. He also resigned from his positions in JSW’s subsidiary, South West Port Limited, where he held similar leadership roles.
The board of JSW Infrastructure, following the Nomination and Remuneration Committee’s recommendation, has appointed Rinkesh Roy, the current President of the company, as the new Joint Managing Director and CEO, effective November 8, 2024.
Rinkesh Roy, aged 54, brings over 30 years of experience in railway operations, shipping, ports, and logistics. His prior roles include serving as Chairman of major Indian ports like Paradip, Vishakhapatnam, Tuticorin, and Kamrajar.
Roy holds a master’s degree in public management from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a fellowship from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He also ranked first in economics honors from Utkal University, India, in 1990.
With his extensive expertise, Roy will oversee JSW Infrastructure’s next phase of growth and operations starting November 8, 2024.
