Mukta Arts Ltd, led by Subhash Ghai, has secured a deal with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) regarding the satellite and media rights for 37 films. The agreement was confirmed in a stock exchange filing on September 24, 2024.
The Assignment Agreement and Term Sheet state that the deal will take effect on August 25, 2027, and will last for six years. Mukta Arts will receive a total consideration that is 25% higher than what was agreed upon in the previous contract with ZEEL.
This partnership aims to enhance the distribution of Mukta Arts’ films across various media platforms.
The collaboration is expected to leverage ZEEL’s extensive network, boosting the visibility and revenue potential of Mukta Arts’ film library.
