The Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has won a transmission system contract to evacuate power from one of its projects located in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The company has won a project called “Transmission System for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Ph-IV (Part-4: 3.5 GW): Part A” by tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB).
The project shall be implemented on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer BOOT basis. The company received the letter of intent (LoI) for the project on November 25, 2024.
The scope also includes the construction of a substation 765/400 kV near Ghiror in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri, which is accompanied by 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines. Additional work includes strengthening and bay augmentation at existing and under-construction substations in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
