RITES Ltd Converts KMERC Contract to Turnkey for ₹454 Crore Railway Project

RITES Ltd has announced the conversion of its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract with Karnataka Mining Environment Restoration Corporation (KMERC) into a turnkey project.

The project involves constructing two Railway Private Freight Terminals (PFTs) at Dharmapura and Susheel Nagar in the Ballari District under the Comprehensive Environment Plan for Mining Impact Zone (CEPMIZ).

The project is valued at ₹453.99 crore (excluding GST) and includes both the project consultancy fee and the construction costs. It is expected to be completed in 30 months from the signing of the agreement or site handover.

On October 1, RITES Ltd received an order for the supply, commissioning, and one-year onsite warranty of a Cape Gauge 3100 HP diesel-electric locomotive from Tsiko Africa Logistics (Pty) Limited, valued at $4.28 million (around ₹35.87 crore), to be completed within six months.

In September 2024, RITES Ltd emerged as the lowest bidder for a ₹60.03 crore tender from the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation Limited to provide consultancy services for the supervision, monitoring, and quality control of civil construction works.
