On Monday, Adani Green Energy (AGEL) announced that it had operationalized a 1,000 MW solar energy cumulative capacity at Khavda, Gujarat.
According to a business release, AGEL has already reached operating capacity of 9,478 MW and is moving closer to its declared goal of 45,000 MW by 2030.
After starting operations at Khavda, AGEL provided 1,000 MW in less than a year, the statement said.
Installing over 2.4 million solar modules was required for this. AGEL’s dedication to helping India reach its target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 is demonstrated by the rapid advancement.
Covering an astounding 538 sq km of desolate land—five times the area of Paris—is the world’s largest renewable energy plant, with a capacity of 30 GW. It is anticipated that the project would be finished in the next five years, producing about 15,200 green jobs.
With the help of Adani Infra’s project execution skills, Adani New Industries Limited’s (ANIL) technological know-how, AIMSL’s operational excellence, and a strong supply chain, AGEL plans to build on its success in creating and managing the first wind-solar hybrid cluster in the world, which is located in Jaisalmer, India.
At Khavda, creative solutions are being used to incorporate sustainable practices.
AGEL has pledged to use waterless cleaning robots for the full solar capacity in order to reduce dust buildup on the panels, boost energy output, and aid in water conservation in the dry Kutch region.
