Apraava Energy announced Tuesday that it has secured a new interstate transmission project in Rajasthan. The project was secured through tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) conducted by the central government, the business stated in a statement.
Apraava Energy has not disclosed the project’s financial specifics.
The project includes the installation of 200 kilometres of 400 kV (kilovolt) and 765 kV transmission lines, as well as a 765/400 kV, 4×1500 and 400/220 kV, 5×500 MVA pooling station.
The project is part of the interstate green energy corridor and will play an important role in aiding the evacuation of 5.5 GW of renewable power from Rajasthan’s Renewable Energy Zone Phase IV, which includes the Jaisalmer and Barmer regions.
Apraava Energy is an integrated energy solutions provider co-owned by the CLP company, one of Asia’s major investor-owned power enterprises, and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), a worldwide investment company.
Apraava was founded in 2002 as a single-asset firm and has since evolved into a forward-thinking, climate-conscious organisation.
