Aster DM Healthcare’s shares rose 14% to a new high of ₹558.3 in Monday’s BSE session after the firm declared a special dividend of ₹118 per share.
The Board of Aster DM Healthcare has authorised the declaration of a special dividend of Rs 118 per share payable to shareholders whose names appear on the company’s register of members as of the record date (April 23, 2024), according to an exchange filing.
The special dividend will be paid within 30 days after the declaration.
The company’s board has decided not to declare an interim dividend for fiscal year 2023-24. However, the business stated that it may consider declaring a final dividend at the board meeting while also approving audited financial accounts for FY24.
Aster DM ended today’s session with a gain of 7.54% against the previous closing price of ₹488.20 on NSE. The counter rose to a 52-week high of ₹558 on NSE.
In technical terms, the stock’s relative strength index (RSI) is now at 66, indicating that it is not overbought or oversold. Additionally, the MACD is at 1.1, which is above its centre and signal line, indicating a bullish trend.
Aster DM Healthcare’s stock outperformed the 5-day, 10-day, 20-day, 30-day, 50-day, 100-day, 150-day, and 200-day simple moving averages (SMAs).
