Bharat Forge Ltd. shares are in focus on Thursday, October 3, following the latest round of Class 8 Truck orders in North America.
At around 11.00 AM, Bharat Forge was trading 0.86% lower at ₹1,517.10 per piece, against the previous close of ₹1,530.20 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of ₹1,551, and ₹1,515.15, respectively.
In September, North American orders for Class 8 trucks reached a 10-month high of 30,000 units. When compared to August, these orders increased 124%, while year-on-year, they decreased 3.5%.
In August, North America Class 8 truck orders totalled 13,400 units, up 2% from July but down 16% from the same month last year.
Bharat Forge, a defence-to-auto component provider, operates in North America’s class 8 truck sector.
Previously, OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) open their order books for the next year in September.
