In order to enhance connection in both rural and urban regions, the state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited launched seven new projects addressing security, affordability, and reliability. They also unveiled a new logo.
Additionally, the telecom company unveiled a fiber-based intranet TV service with more than 500 live channels, which was the first of its type. According to the company, the data required to watch television won’t use up all of the available bandwidth.
In order to provide seamless access, BSNL also unveiled a direct-to-device connectivity solution that combines satellite and terrestrial mobile networks. In places without a terrestrial network, the service will enable UPI payments and text message sending.
The state-run telecom provider unveiled a spam-blocking program that automatically weeds out and stops fraudulent SMSs and phishing attempts. Additionally, the business said that BSNL FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) users would be able to access high-speed internet nationwide at no additional cost thanks to its nationwide Wi-Fi roaming service.
In the case of a crisis or tragedy, the state-run telecom provider will also provide government and aid organisations with encrypted communication. In order to increase coverage during emergencies, the agency will employ technologies based on balloons and drones.
