LTIMindtree, IBM to set Generative AI Center in India

LTIMindtree said on Tuesday said that it has partnered with American technology major IBM to develop a global, cooperative Generative AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India. The centre will focus on developing point solutions to help companies expedite their generative AI adoption journeys.

The LTIMindtree and IBM CoE intend to provide a comprehensive portfolio of services that combine LTIMindtree’s expertise in data and machine learning model customisation, as well as full-stack engineering, with IBM Watsonx technology such as Watsonx.ai, Watsonx.data, Watsonx.governance, and AI assistants. The centre, based in India, will focus on developing point solutions to help clients expedite their generative AI adoption journeys.

Kate Woolley, the General Manager at IBM Ecosystem, emphasized that company’s partnership, recognized by the Center of Excellence, presents a chance for our companies to collaborate extensively. This collaboration aims to integrate cutting-edge AI research and innovations into practical business solutions for addressing real-world challenges.

Nachiket Deshpande, the COO and Whole-time Director of LTIMindtree, highlighted that in the digital age, progress hinges on open innovation. Collaborating with IBM, LTIMindtree seeks to lead in the advancement of AI technologies, enabling businesses to attain exceptional success through effective governance.

LTIMindtree will integrate watsonx.governance with the Canvas.ai platform, creating a collaborative enterprise-ready toolkit that allows organisations to strategically adopt AI governance frameworks throughout the AI lifecycle. Together, these platforms will give users the structure and processes they need to negotiate the complexities of the regulatory landscape while adhering to ethical standards, compliance requirements, and responsible AI practices.
