One of India’s top automakers, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), said on Monday that its total vehicle sales, including exports, for March 2024 were 68,413 units, an increase of 4%.
Mahindra sold 40,631 utility vehicles in the domestic market in March 2023, a 13% YoY increase from 35,976 units sold the previous year.
In total, 41,161 automobiles were exported in March 2024. 20,930 commercial vehicles were sold domestically.
Sales of three-wheelers fell to 5,279 units in March 2024 from 5,697 units in the same month the previous year.
“We ended the financial year F24 on a positive note with Mahindra PikUps crossing 2 lakh units during the year, which is the highest ever for any commercial vehicle in the load segment in India,” said Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd. We sold 40,631 SUVs in total in March, up 13% from the previous year, and 68,413 cars overall, up 4%.
