As part of an investment agreement, city-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Odysse Electric announced Monday that it has received an order for 40,000 vehicles from EV-as-a-Service platform Zypp Electric.
“The recent investment in Odysse Electric marks a significant turning point. Nemin Vora, CEO of Odysse Electric, stated to ET, “Zypp Electric’s extensive industry experience and fleet electrification vision will greatly accelerate our plans for nationwide expansion, highlighting the strong B2B and consumer demand for electric vehicles.”
Without revealing the type or extent of the investment, the firm stated that Zypp’s investment is anticipated to strengthen Odysse Electric’s B2B market presence and facilitate the growth of its dealership network across the country.
According to Odysse, the 40,000 electric vehicless will be delivered over the course of the following three years.
According to the company, Odysse wants to expand its production capacity in order to satisfy the growing demand for last-mile delivery services in both urban and rural areas, as well as for clean and effective mobility and delivery options in personal space.
Odysse Electric was founded in 2020 and offers seven different e-two-wheeler models, including delivery scooters for business-to-business markets, a commuter cycle for everyday usage, and low- and high-speed scooters.
