Sandip Goenka Takes Helm at Acko Life

Acko, a Bengaluru-based insurtech firm, has named Sandip Goenka as CEO of its freshly formed life insurance division, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.

Gonka’s new role will include anchoring the business and strategically directing Acko Life. He will help to design the company’s initial product offerings and ensure that the essential systems and processes are in place to support the company’s long-term growth.

Before joining Acko, Goenka was the chief financial officer of Exide Life Insurance and had executive positions at Tata AIA and EY, among others.

As a founding member of Acko Life, Goenka was instrumental in creating the direct-to-consumer life insurance company.

His responsibilities include monitoring company and customer strategy, improving operational efficiency, maintaining financial performance, cultivating investor relations, and adhering to corporate governance requirements.

Goenka has more than 20 years of experience in life, health, general insurance, reinsurance, and insurance consulting, as well as cross-cultural expertise from India and other global markets such as the United Kingdom and Singapore.
