According to a release, Nand Kishore was named Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SBI Funds Management Limited, a joint venture between State Bank of India and Amundi, the biggest asset manager in Europe, on Wednesday.
Shamsher Singh steps down as managing director and chief executive officer of SBI Funds Management Limited to be replaced by Nand Kishore, deputy managing director of State Bank of India.
Working with the State Bank of India for over 34 years, Kishore has extensive experience in a variety of key banking verticals, including branch banking, corporate banking, international operations, treasury operations, investment banking, and retail operations.
He started off as a probationary officer at the State Bank of India in 1990 and advanced through the ranks to become the deputy managing director, exhibiting strong leadership in a variety of areas.
Kishore supervised the bank’s treasury operations as the Deputy Managing Director (Global Markets) at SBI’s Corporate Centre in Mumbai before taking on his present appointment at SBIFM.
