A kiln with a rated capacity of 11,500 tons per day was officially put into service at Shree Cement Limited’s new integrated manufacturing facility in Nawalgarh, Rajasthan, on Thursday.
According to the company, this kiln is among the largest in the world and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that facilitates the use of alternative fuels and ensures maximum energy efficiency.
The new cement plant, which would cost Rs 3,500 crore, can produce 3.5 million tons of cement a year. In addition, the plant has a 33 MW waste heat recovery power plant, which helps generate electricity without using fossil fuels. This creative method, which is consistent with the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility, makes use of waste gases from the clinkerization process.
We are excited to announce the kiln’s commissioning at our new integrated facility in Nawalgarh, Rajasthan, as we work toward becoming an 80 million tons firm by 2028. The most advanced factory owned by the company is this one, according to Neeraj Akhoury, managing director of Shree Cement.
According to him, this facility is well-positioned to serve the high-consumption cement markets in Punjab, Haryana, and the National Capital Region because of its close vicinity.
The company’s fifth integrated production facility, the Nawalgarh plant, further demonstrates its dedication to cutting-edge technology and environmentally friendly business practises.
