Veritas (India) Ltd and Genesys International Corporation Ltd have been awarded a Letter of Acceptance by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for creating, executing, and managing a 3D city model and implementing change detection through geospatial technology for the Mumbai municipal authority. This contract amounts to approximately ₹156 Crore.

The company stated in a filing, “Veritas (India) Limited, together with Genesys International Corporation Limited, has been awarded a Letter of Acceptance by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for a project worth ₹155.85 Crore. This project involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of a 3D city model, as well as change detection using geospatial technology for BMC.”

The project requires developing a unified mapping platform that includes layers such as a 3D reality mesh model, base map with enhanced features and street photography, Digital Surface Model (DSM), Digital Terrain Model (DTM), and a change detection map. These tools will enable municipal departments, government agencies, and residents to make educated decisions that promote the city's progress.

Sajid Malik, the Chairman and Managing Director of Genesys International Corporation Ltd., shared his excitement about the partnership, emphasizing its importance. He stated that this contract signifies a major achievement for both Genesys International and Mumbai's digital transformation.

Malik expressed optimism about leading Mumbai into a new phase of development using advanced geospatial solutions. He highlighted the potential of these solutions to revolutionize urban planning and contribute to sustainable growth, ultimately improving the quality of life for the city's residents.

He reaffirmed the company's dedication to utilizing its expertise in geospatial technology to support Mumbai's development initiatives.
