Equity mutual funds attracted a net sum of Rs 28,463.49 crore in March 2022. In comparison, equity mutual funds saw a net inflow of Rs 19,705.27 crore in February and Rs 14,887.77 crore in January, data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi) showed on Friday.

Overall, the mutual fund industry registered a net outflow of Rs 69,883.27 crore in March, compared with a net inflow of Rs 31,533.53 crore in the preceding month.
Total assets under management (AUM) of the mutual fund industry decreased by Rs 69,883.27 crore to Rs 37.56 lakh crore at the end of March.
Equity exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw an inflow of Rs 6,906.52 crore last month, a decline of 36% compared with inflow of Rs 10,791.18 crore in February.
Hybrid and liquid funds saw outflows in March. Investors took out Rs 3,603.61 crore from hybrid funds in March, as against an inflow of Rs 3,176.93 crore in February.
The debt segment saw a net outflow of Rs 1,14,823.77 crore last month. Investors pulled out Rs 44,603.72 crore from liquid funds, in contrast to an inflow of Rs 40,273.31 crore in the previous month.
Credit risk funds saw an outflow of Rs 398.57 crore in March, up 2.79% on a month-on-month basis.
