Ministry of Finance Introduces Rs.75 Commemorative Coin for New Parliament Building Inauguration

The Ministry of Finance has announced the issuance of a unique commemorative coin worth Rs 75, symbolizing the inauguration of the new Parliament building. This significant move by the government aims to celebrate the momentous occasion and immortalize the architectural marvel.

Coin design and specification:

  1. The newly minted commemorative coin will feature the ‘Parliament Complex’ inscription and a captivating image of the state-of-the-art Parliament building.
  2. The coin will have a circular shape with a diameter measuring 44 millimeters.
  3. To enhance its uniqueness, the coin will be adorned with 200 serrations along its edges, adding a distinctive touch to its overall appearance.
  4. The coin’s composition will consist of a quaternary alloy skillfully blended with 50 percent silver, 40 percent copper, 5 percent nickel, and 5 percent zinc.
  5. This composition ensures durability and aesthetic appeal, making the coin a cherished keepsake.
  6. Below the image of the Parliament Complex, the year ‘2023’ will be elegantly inscribed using international numerals, serving as a timeless reminder of the historical event and the significance of the new Parliament building.
