Rupee Vs. USD: Indian Rupee gains 11 pains against USD on Tuesday

  • Indian rupee gains 11 paise against the US dollar on Tuesday. Demand for the dollar weakened after disappointing US services data.
  • Rupee opens at 82.56 per dollar compared to the previous day’s closing rate of 82.67.
  • The dollar index drops to 103.90 in Asian markets. The  US services sector showed slower-than-expected growth in May.
  • Crude oil prices trade lower, supporting the Indian rupee.
  • Brent crude futures are down 0.25% at $76.52 per barrel.
  • US West Texas Intermediate crude eases 0.36% to $71.89 per barrel.
  • Simultaneously, India’s benchmark equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, opened slightly lower, following the negative performance of Asian peers.
