The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) revealed on Friday that car retails in November 2022 hit record high levels, growing by 26% annually.
In comparison to the 18.93 lakh units sold in November 2021 and the 23.44 lakh units sold in November 2019, a pre-Covid year, around 23.80 lakh units were sold in November this year.
According to data, there was growth in November across all automotive categories. Tractors, commercial vehicles (CVs), 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, and passenger vehicles (PVs) all had growth of 24%, 80%, 21%, and 33%, respectively.
For the second consecutive month, overall retails showed an increase in all categories, with the exception of 2-wheelers, when compared to the pre-Covid period of November 2019.
At the end of November, the average inventory for PVs was between 35 and 40 days, and the average inventory for 2-wheelers was between 30 and 35 days.
