Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the largest automaker in the nation, reported a 10% growth in total wholesales at 1,78,083 units in May.
In May 2022, the business sold 1,61,413 units, according to a statement from MSI.
According to the corporation, its domestic sales last month increased 13% to 1,51,606 units from 1,34,222 units in May 2022.
Compared to the same month previous year, total domestic passenger vehicle sales increased by 15% to 1,43,708 units from 1,24,474 units.
Sales of micro cars, which include the Alto and S-Presso, decreased 30% to 12,236 units from 17,408 units in the same period last year.
Sales of compact cars, which include the Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, and Dzire models, grew by 5% to 71,419 units in May 2022 compared to 67,947 units in May 2022.
Ciaz, a mid-sized vehicle, saw an increase in sales last month from 586 to 992 units.
According to MSI, sales of utility cars, such as the Brezza, Grand Vitara, and Ertiga, increased by 65% to 46,243 units in comparison to 28,051 vehicles in the same month last year.
According to the firm, exports decreased 3% to 26,477 units from 27,191 units in the same month last year.
