Tata Motors announced its sales numbers for the month of May 2023. The company has registered a decline of 1.62% in its total sales at 74,793 units in May as compared to the same month previous year. In May 2022, the company has reported total sales of 76,210 units.
Tata Motors’ domestic sales dipped 2% y-o-y at 73,448 units in May 2023, as compared to 74,755 units in the same month last year.
In May 2023, the company’s domestic sales of passenger vehicles stood at 45,878 units, up by 6% y-o-y against 43,341 units in May 2022.
Tata Motors said that sales of passenger electric vehicles, including international business, were 5,805 units, up 66% y-o-y from 3,505 units in the same month last year.
According to the company, total commercial vehicle sales were 28,989 units last month, a 12% y-o-y decrease from 32,818 units in May 2022. Similarly, domestic commercial vehicle sales fell 12% year-on-year to 27,570 units, compared to 31,414 units in the same month last year.
At around 1.31 PM, Tata Motors was trading 0.39% higher at Rs 537.90, against the previous close of Rs 535.20 on NSE.
