Venus Remedies bags GMP approval for Carbapenem, Oncology parenteral facilities

Venus Remedies Ltd. has obtained Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification from Ukraine for various products, including Meropenem, Oxaliplatin, Paclitaxil, Cisplatin, and Imipenem/Cilastatin. 

The certification recognizes the high manufacturing standards of Venus Remedies’ Carbapenem and Oncology production facilities located in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

Following a rigorous and comprehensive audit conducted by the State Service of Ukraine on Medicine and Drug Control (SMDC), Venus Remedies Ltd has been granted GMP certification. 

This certification is anticipated to facilitate the acquisition of GMP certifications from the European Medicines Agency and other regulatory authorities of European Union (EU) member states, as well as countries worldwide that adhere to the Pharmaceutical Inspection Convention/Cooperation Scheme (PIC/CS).

With this latest international GMP approval, marking the 27th for Venus Remedies, the company is poised to broaden its global product portfolio and obtain marketing authorizations not just from Ukraine but also from other lucrative global markets.

Ukraine, a significant pharmaceutical market within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) valued at approximately US $5 billion, presents a promising opportunity. Moreover, India stands as the second-largest exporter of pharmaceutical products to Ukraine, following Germany.

The company has established its presence in 16 European Union (EU) member states, contributing to a market valued at around US $350 billion.
