Oxford Bookstore, Mumbai hosted the book launchof ‘Crushes, Careers and Cell phones’, a book on the nuances of parent-teenagercommunications written by Ms. ManjiriGokhale Joshi Head - ProjectManagement, Primal Pictures London and co-founder of Maya Care, a non-profitorganization. The occasion was also graced by the presence of Ms. Shobhaa De, an eminent author andcolumnist. The launch was followed by an engaging discussion on the theme ofthe book. The entire audience was very engrossed into the proceedings of theevening.

The Foreword of the book has been written by former Miss Universe -Sushmita Sen, and the former dynamic Indian Police Service Officer, Dr. KiranBedi has stated that the booksays all that every parent would like to say, in a crisp easily palatablemanner and in a language that the youth would like to read best. The bookaccording to both Ms.Bedi and Ms. Sen is earnest, serious, irreverent andhumorous.


The book primarilyhighlights the communication gap between the parents and their teenage childrenagainst the backdrop of different situations. The situations include failurealong with success.
