Coromandel International reported flat -0.47% yoy shift in consolidated sales revenues for the Mar-21 quarter at Rs2,855.97cr. The company faced flat revenues in the nutrients segment as well as the crop protection segment during the quarter. On a sequential basis, the top line revenues were sharply lower by 19.2%.

The consolidated Profit after tax (PAT) for the Mar-21 quarter was lower by -33.45% at Rs155.85cr. Even as the top line was almost flat, the costs took a hit on account of a sharp 12% spike in raw material costs in line with global trends and supply chain constraints. Net profit margins or NPM compressed from 8.16% to 5.46% on a yoy basis. The fall in net profit margins was much sharper on a sequential basis.
