RBI requests Uttarakhand govt to include financial literacy for students

The RBI has already conducted a host of financial literacy programmes teaching school students about the functions of the bank in various states of India

The RBI (Reserve Bank of India) governor D Subbarao has requested the Uttarakhand government to consider including financial literacy as part of school curriculum.
Mr. Subbarao said this after the central bank’s board meeting in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand on 24th May.
The RBI has already conducted a host of financial literacy programmes teaching school students about the functions of the bank in various states of India. The RBI regional directors also inform school students about currency management and foreign exchange management. Short films about the working of RBI are also shown to the students.
