Assets of retail money market funds increased by $12.72 billion to $905.38 billion

Total money market fund assets increased by $12.78 billion to $2.57 trillion for the week ended Wednesday, August 6, the Investment Company Institute reported.
Among taxable money market funds, Treasury funds (including agency and repo) increased by $8.85 billion and prime funds increased by $700 million. Tax-exempt money market funds increased by $3.23 billion.
Retail: Assets of retail money market funds increased by $12.72 billion to $905.38 billion. Among retail funds, Treasury money market fund assets increased by $4.20 billion to $202.66 billion, prime money market fund assets increased by $6.40 billion to $515.70 billion, and tax-exempt fund assets increased by $2.13 billion to $187.03 billion.
Institutional: Assets of institutional money market funds increased by $50 million to $1.66 trillion. Among institutional funds, Treasury money market fund assets increased by $4.65 billion to $706.65 billion, prime money market fund assets decreased by $5.70 billion to $882.86 billion, and tax-exempt fund assets increased by $1.10 billion to $72.04 billion.
