Ansal University, Gurgaon, a private University with strong international collaborations dedicated to providing advanced Trans-Disciplinary education is hosting a 10-day International Design, Computation and Fabrication workshop ‘Hyper Threads’ organized by Architectural Association (AA) Visiting School.
The AA Visiting School is a platform created by the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London to engage participants in learning from the realities of highly distributed global architectural culture.
Dr. Rupinder Singh, Dean, Sushant School of Art & Architecture shares his excitement, “It is a moment of immense pride for us to host a workshop of this stature in our University.
This workshop is an exciting platform for our students and professionals to understand the modern techniques and architecture around the world. Tutors from various countries will give them an opportunity to understand and address locally relevant issues with combination of traditional and contemporary science.”
During the workshop insightful technical sessions will be deliberated by technical experts like Chikara Inamura, Matsuro Sasaki Engineers, Tokyo, Shajay Bhooshan, Zaha Hadid Architects, London, John Klein, Zaha Hadid Architects, Beijing, Mostafa El Sayed, Zaha Hadid Architects, London, Suryansh Chandra, Zaha Hadid Architects, London and Abhishek Bij, Design Plus, New Delhi.
Tutors will design-build a sizeable prototype as part of their primary objective: ‘learning-by-doing’. The participants will be exposed to the same design tools, techniques and analysis methods used to design and build the prototype.
