Greater Valley School announces the Scholarship winners for 2013-14

The Greater Valley School, Greater Noida  announced recipients of its scholarship program for 2013-14. The winning students of Class VII are two 13 year olds, Aryan Garg and Achint Kaur. These talented students will have the opportunity to spend 15 days at the Carden School, California, USA. Carden Academy of Almaden is the original Carden School serving the Silicon Valley since 1973. Carden School has a proven record of providing excellent education with an emphasis on building character and teaching moral values. 

The two deserving students will be a part of classes and will follow the routine of residing students of the school. This aims to familiarize students with international methods and approaches as well as broad concepts and comparative study, while providing them with a hands-on experience in a real class and school environment.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Abhinav Shukla, Director said, “The aim of the school is to provide knowledge and also shape a student’s life with great dreams and high aims. Greater Valley School has provided this platform to these deserving children as a reward for their hard work and also hopes that this scholarship becomes an incentive for the other students.”

The scholarship has been awarded to them after a considerable analysis of parameters which includes their academic reports of the current session, inter and intra school participation & accolades, olympiads and external examinations, Member of School Council badges, voluntary undertaking of additional duties, attendance and punctuality in delivering assignments and projects, interpersonal skills and discipline.

Principal of the school, Ms. Poonam Chaubey said, “For India to realize its goal of becoming a fully developed country by 2020, it needs to ride on the shoulders of its young population. The intention of such a program is to ensure a positive exposure to children so that they return to India with a fresher perspective and a global outlook, which can be further disseminated to other students and also become an inspiration”.

The students will be provided with significant resources during their tenure at Carden School and the Scholarship Program will serve as a huge incentive to the Greater Valley School students in the current academic year and in the future as well.
