A total of 26 stocks reported a fresh 52-week low on BSE today.
Among these stocks included Ess Dee Aluminium, Garden Silk Mills, GEI Industrial Systems, Godfrey Phillips, GRP, Jindal Cotex, Man Industries, Mold-Tek Packaging, Precot Meridian, Premier and Shree Rama Newsprint.
On Thursday, the BSE benchmark index, the Sensex, retest the lows of the day and finally ended with a loss of 261 points at 28,747.
The NSE Nifty touched a high of 8,786, and then tumbled to a low of 8,669 - down 117points from the day's high. The NSE index eventually ended with a loss of 83 points at 8,684.
The India VIX (Volatility) index was down nearly a per cent at 20.58. Traders will keep an eye on the annual economic outlook survey on Friday.
