Centum Electronics climbs 4% as HDFC Mutual Fund bulk buys stock

In a bulk deal on Wednesday, the MF bought 4,00,000 shares of the company.

Centum Electronics' shares saw a spurt in price on Thursday's trading session after HDFC Mutual Fund bought shares of the company in a bulk deal the previous day.

The company sold 4,00,000 shares to HDFC Mutual FUnd A/C HDFC Dividend Yield Fund at an average price of Rs421.19. 

At around 11:12am, Centum was trading 2.72% higher at Rs452.80 per piece on NSE.

Following the bulk deal, it's stock rose as high as Rs467, an increase by 4% from its previous day's closing.

It also witnessed a spurt in volume by more than 1.16 times.
