Nahar PolyFilms hits 20% upper limit

The stock is now up over 16 percent on the back of 18.5-fold jump in Q1 net.

Nahar Poly Films hit the 20 percent upper limit at Rs. 43.25 - also a fresh 52-week high on the back of extra-ordinary Q1 performance.

The company to the BSE, the company's Q1FY16 net profit grew by 18.5-times on a sequential basis to Rs. 4.13 crore as against Rs. 22.34 lakh. Total income, however, was down almost 12 percent to Rs. 76.53 crore from Rs. 86.89 crore on a quarter-on-quarter basis.

The stock continues to trade on a gung-ho note, and is now up 16.5 percent at Rs. 42. The counter has seen heavy volume of around 108,000 shares as against the two-week daily average volume of around 6,600-odd shares on the BSE.

Meanwhile, the Sensex is down 27 points at 28,196.
