Shares of NTPC
ended lower on the BSE, despite the company winning an 85MW solar capacity in a reverse auction held by the UP government.
NTPC had participated in the 550MW tender floated by Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) for grid-connected Solar projects, the company said in the BSE filing.
In the reverse auction held on December 3, the company had bid for 85MW solar capacities and won the entire capacity bid, at a levelized tariff of Rs3.02/unit applicable for 25 years.
The above 85MW of solar capacity shall be set up by NTPC and added to the installed capacity of NTPC, the company added.
NTPC Ltd ended at Rs140.90 down by Rs2.15 or 1.5% from its previous closing of Rs143.05 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs143.05 and touched a high and low of Rs144.80 and Rs139.50 respectively.
