Skymet predicts thunderstorms between May 30 - June 3, 2015

Skymet, India's largest weather monitoring and Agri-risk solutions company has said that worst of the heat wave is over and thunderstorms are expected between May 30 to June 3.

Speculating that the monsoon might be a week late, the agency had previously forecasted that in June, the probability of rainfall was 64% normal, 7% below normal and 29% above normal.

Kerala, Konkan and Goa, Punjab, Haryana, west UP will receive good amounts of rainfall. Parts of Tamil Nadu, Rayalseema and south Karnataka are at some risk. Country as a whole will receive good amounts of rainfall. 

With temperatures soaring in every part of the country, people are facing extreme difficulty. Unrelenting heat wave has killed more than 1,100 people across the country, as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are worst hit.
