TCS, Gujarat Govt to jointly impart digital skills in schools

13 Dec 2022 , 12:29 PM

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is collaborating with Samagra Shiksha, Gujarat Council of School Education (SS - GCSE), and the Government of Gujarat to train students and teachers in cutting-edge digital skills such as computational and design thinking.

TCS' Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme will bring the company's flagship global initiatives, Ignite My Future and goIT, to students and teachers in Gujarat, assisting in the development of the next generation of thinkers and innovators.

The initiatives are in line with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and aim to instill global citizenship in students by developing empathy for critical societal issues and opening their minds to become problem solvers. Furthermore, they will raise student awareness of STEM careers and prepare them for the upcoming digital economy.

TCS' Ignite My Future programme is a trailblazing effort to empower educators all over the world by incorporating computational thinking into core subjects such as math, science, literacy, social studies, and arts.

TCS goIT is a digital social innovation programme that enables students to create novel solutions to social problems.
