Infosys: The country’s second-largest provider of IT services has established a partnership with Microsoft to build industry-leading solutions together. These solutions will make use of Infosys’ Topaz as well as Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service and Azure Cognitive Services. Both companies are combining their artificial intelligence (AI) skills in order to improve enterprise functions with AI-enabled solutions across several industries.
Blue Star: As part of the aims of its QIP issuance, the air conditioner manufacturer bought 4.9 crore equity shares of subsidiary Blue Star Climatech for Rs 49 crore by subscribing to its rights issue. This investment will assist the subsidiary in repaying certain outstanding debts and financing its expansion objectives.
3i Infotech: Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has awarded the IT firm a contract for end-user support services (workplace services). The overall contract value is Rs 39.55 crore, plus Rs 35 lakh in one-time transition charges. The contract is for five years, from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2028, with the possibility to extend it by mutual consent.
Suzlon Energy: In accordance with the provisions of the agreement, Dilip Shanghvi and Associates have opted to cancel the arrangement with Suzlon. On February 28, 2020, Dilip Shanghvi and Associates, the firm’s investor group, signed into an amended and restated shareholders’ agreement with the company and promoters.
Shyam Metalics & Energy: The integrated metal company based in Kolkata has entered the energy storage market by producing battery-grade aluminum foil for Lithium-ion cell manufacturing. Lithium-ion cells rely heavily on battery-grade aluminum foil.
Vedanta: Moody’s Investors Service downgraded Vedanta Resources’ corporate family rating (CFR), the parent company of Vedanta Ltd, to Caa2 on Tuesday.
Signature Global: Signature Global and Sai Silks will make their exchange debuts today. While Signature is projected to do well, Sai Silks’ debut is considered to be underwhelming.
Aditya Birla Capital: Aditya Birla Capital has invested Rs 750 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary Aditya Birla Finance through a rights subscription.
Container Corporation of India: According to the state-owned company, the Board of Directors has appointed Sanjay Swarup as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the firm, effective October 1, 2023, until July 21, 2026. He presently works at CONCOR as the Director (International Marketing & Operations).
REC: Power PSU REC Ltd and Punjab National Bank have entered into a co-financing arrangement for power, infrastructure, and logistics projects.
