Mukka Proteins Limited was originally incorporated as Mukka Sea Food Industries, a Partnership firm in Karnataka on March 13, 2003. Subsequently, the Partnership Firm was thereafter converted to Private Company as Mukka Sea Food Industries Private Limited on November 04, 2010. The Company subsequently got converted into Public Limited Company dated December 02, 2019 in the name of Mukka Sea Food Industries Limited and the name of the Company changed to Mukka Proteins Limited vide a fresh certificate of incorporation issued by ROC-Bangalore, dated August 06, 2021.As a diversified marine and sustainable protein company, the Company is engaged in the manufacturing and supply of Fish Protein products comprising Fish Meal, Fish Oil and Fish Soluble Paste, which are key ingredients in the manufacture of aqua feed (for fish and shrimp), poultry feed (for broiler and layer) and pet food (dog and cat food).

The Company manufactures Alternate Protein products comprising InsectMeal, Insect Oil, Insect Compost, Humic Acid and Briquettes, catering to the growing demand for sustainable and innovative protein and bio-based solutions.Led by the Founder Promoter, Mr. Kalandan Mohammed Haris, Mukka Group is one of the pioneers in the Fishmeal Industry having set up one of Indias first steam sterilised fishmeal plants. The Company diversified products by developing alternative proteins such as Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Insect Meal and Insect Oil in the animal food industry.

The Company serves both domestic and international markets and exports its products to over 25 countries, including Bahrain, Bangladesh, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, China, Saudi Arabia, SouthKorea, Oman, Taiwan and Vietnam.The Company business is extended to manufacture of High-Quality Fish Meal and Omega-3 Fish Oil which is used as a raw material in aquafeed, poultry feed, pet feed, animal feed, EPA-DHA extraction (use in nutraceuticals - nutrients plus pharmaceuticals), soap manufacture, leather tanneries & Paint industries across globally.In 2014, the Company commenced International operations in the Middle East.In 2018, it set up a Manufacturing Facility in Gujarat.The Company has raised money from public through IPO aggregating to Rs 224 Crore and by issuing 8,00,00,000 Equity Shares through Fresh Issue on March 4, 2024.In 2026, the Company acquired equity stake in Ento Proteins Private Limited and further acquired the remaining stake in Haris Marine Products Private Limited. The Company strategically expanded its business by venturing into Waste Management segment through Leachate Management solutions and the Frozen & Value Added Products segment, comprising Surimi, Crustaceans, Cephalopods and Scombroid/Non-Scombroid fish products.
