Gold prices rose on Friday as the dollar dipped slightly from its two-decade highs, but bullion was still on pace for its worst weekly decline in almost a month as demand was negatively impacted by the strong currency. By 01:06 GMT, spot gold increased 0.3% to $1,744.07 per ounce. The price of US gold futures increased 0.2% to $1,742.50.
To reach $19.28 per ounce, spot silver increased by 0.5%. This week, gold prices have fallen by around 3.7%. They are probably in for their worst week since mid-May and they’re fourth in a row.
10 grams of 24-carat gold are selling for Rs 51,110 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. Ten grams of 22-karat gold, however, are currently selling for Rs 46,850 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
10 grams of 24- and 22-carat gold are available in Chennai for Rs 50,970 and Rs 47,720, respectively. At the moment, 1 kilogram of silver costs Rs 57,000 in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. In contrast, one kilogram of silver costs Rs 62,200 in Chennai.
