Prices of gold and silver slump in early trade

Early on Wednesday, gold and silver prices decreased, with 10 grams of gold  (24-carat) selling at Rs 53,780, a decrease of Rs 330. Silver prices today fell by Rs 500 per kg to Rs 66,000 per kg. According to the GoodReturns website, ten grams of 22-carat gold are trading at Rs 49,300, down Rs 300 from yesterday’s close.

Price of 22 and 24-carat gold:

Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kerala, and Pune: 10 grams of 24-carat and 22-carat gold was selling at Rs 53,780, and Rs 49,300

Delhi: 24-carat and 22-carat gold was trading at Rs 53,930 and Rs 49,450, 
Chennai: 10 grams of 24-carat and 22-carat gold was trading at Rs 54,650 and Rs 50,100

Price of 1 kg of silver:

Delhi and Mumbai: The price of 1 kg of silver was Rs 66,000. 

Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad: The metal traded at Rs 70,800 per kg
