Anupam Rasayan, a prominent participant in the Indian specialty chemical industry, has inked a Letter of Intent with a Japanese chemical business to supply new era polymer intermediate for the next nine years. The transaction is valued at $61 million, or Rs 507 crore. According to a press release from the corporation, the delivery will start in CY2024. Anupam Rasayan continued in the news announcement, ‘This product will be manufactured in our existing and new multipurpose manufacturing facilities.’
The business states that this molecule will be used as a bridge for thermoplastic polymers, which are used in semiconductor process material, high-performance industrial gear, electrical and electronic devices, and structural materials in the aerospace industry.
Anand Desai, Managing Director of Anupam Rasayan, stated in a news release that ‘because we are fully backward integrated for this molecule, we can provide supply chain assurance to the customer without dependencies on supplies from other geographies.’

Specialty chemical production and custom synthesis (CSM) are the activities of Anupam Rasayan India Ltd. in India. The business was founded in 1984, and its specialised chemicals division is divided into two verticals: items relating to agrochemicals, personal care, and pharmaceuticals; and other specialty chemicals, which include specialty pigments and dyes as well as polymer additives.
