Kotak Mahindra Bank appoints Ashok Vaswani as the Managing Director & CEO for a three-year term, effective January 1, 2024. Vaswani is set to lead Kotak Mahindra Bank into the future, succeeding Dipak Gupta.
The appointment is subject to members’ approval, and Vaswani will assume office after the end of Dipak Gupta’s term on December 31, 2023.
Uday Kotak, the bank’s founder, expressed delight over RBI’s approval of Vaswani as the next CEO, highlighting his global leadership and digital focus. RBI approved Vaswani’s appointment on October 21, 2023, under Section 35B of the Banking Regulation Act, 2013.
