Bajaj Auto Reports 1% Dip in September Sales; Commercial Vehicle Sales Soar by 40%

Bajaj Auto Ltd reports a 1% decline in total sales in September 2023, reaching 3,92,558 units compared to September 2022’s 3,94,747 units. Two-wheeler sales witnessed a 6% decrease, totaling 3,27,712 units, down from the year-ago figure of 3,48,355 units.

Domestic two-wheeler sales dropped by 9%, hitting 2,02,510 units in September 2023 compared to 2,22,912 units in the same month last year. Two-wheeler exports also slightly declined to 1,25,202 units in September 2023, from 1,25,443 units in September 2022.

Commercial vehicle sales see a significant increase of 40%, reaching 64,846 units in September 2023 compared to 46,392 units in September last year. Bajaj Auto’s standalone net profit jumps by 42% YoY to Rs 1,665 crore for Q1 of the fiscal year ending June 2023, compared to Rs 1,173 crore in the year-ago period.
