Bajaj Auto Ltd. reported its February sale numbers and has witnessed a steep decline over the last year owing to electronics components shortages. Total sales stood at 3,16,020 units for February 2022, down by 16% yoy.
Its domestic 2-wheeler sales for February 2022 were 96,523 units as against 1,48,934 in February 2021, down by 35% yoy. While 2-wheeler exports dipped marginally for Feb’22 at 1,82,814 units as against 1,83,629 units in Feb’21.
Total commercial vehicles sales for the month under review were reported at 36,683 units against 42,454 units in February 2021, down by 14% yoy. Domestic commercial vehicle sales grew by 2% at 16,224 units, and exports stood at 20,459 units.
YTD Feb’22 Commercial vehicle sales was 4,30,713 units against 3,27,706 units in the 11 months ended February 2021, up by 31% yoy.
YTD February 2022 Total sales were reported at 40,11,245 units as against 36,03,466 units in YTD February 2021, up by 11% yoy.
Bajaj auto ended on a sulky note today at Rs3,367.15, down by Rs163.20 or 4.62%, as against its previous closing of Rs3,530.35. It touched the day’s high and low of Rs3,498.30 and Rs3,333 respectively.
