On Wednesday, Bandhan Bank stated that it would start a co-lending company and partner with a few NBFCs to do so. The co-lending company will span all lending verticals, according to MD and CEO Chandrasekhar Ghosh, who made the announcement at the bank’s Foundation Day program.
We have chosen a few NBFCs, and we’ll be tying with them soon, he said.
According to Ghosh, the bank, which began operations eight years ago, currently has 6,100 banking locations spread across 35 states and union territories.
On Tuesday, it launched a branch in Leh, and, according to the spokesman, another one will open in Kargil in September.
According to him, the bank has three crore customers and its revenue has surpassed two lakh crore rupees. CASA deposits are now at 39%.
Ghosh stated that the private lender will continue to be dedicated to inclusive banking while diversifying both regionally and in terms of its portfolio.
He said that digital transactions make up 94% of bank transactions.
