Bani Varma takes charge as Director (Industrial systems and Products) of BHEL

With effect from October 9, the government has appointed Bani Varma as director (industrial systems and products) of BHEL. She was in charge of BHEL’s transportation business division and electronics division production facility in Bangalore before taking over as director.

She has more than 26 years of Marketing experience in the Indian capital goods industry, primarily related to Captive Power and Industrial machinery segments. She is now working as executive assistant to the chairman and managing director.

She has achieved her Bachelor’s in Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering as an Electrical Engineer and she has been with BHEL since 1990.
