Lal Singh has been appointed as an Executive Director on the Board of Bank of Baroda, effective from October 9, 2023. The appointment was made by the Central Government under the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970.
Lal Singh, born on January 11, 1967, currently serves as the Chief General Manager and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Union Bank of India. He brings over three decades of banking experience to his new role.
Lal Singh holds a Master of Science degree and has held various significant positions in his banking career, including heading the Rural and Agri Business division, MSME Department, and Emerging Corporate Department. He has also served as the Zonal Head for Varanasi Zone, Lucknow Zone, and Chennai during his career.
